| The
term ‘HAM’ is associated
with the “Amateur Radio”
service. A HAM operator is a person duly
authorized by the Government of India, to
have his own Radio service with a code,
which is internationally unique. The
HAM operator can communicate with other
similar station wirelessly without violating
the “Amateur regulations and norms”. |

| Under natural colamities
like floods, Tsunami and etc, when normal
communication systems get failed, Amateur
Radio service is the only alternative for
authorizes and reliable communication. |

| The HAM club of our college, conduct
Training Courses in tie-up with the authorized
experts in the field to enable the
members to appear for the Grade-II and Grade-I
Wireless license examinations of wireless planning
co-ordination wing, ministry of Broad casting,
Govt. of India. More no. of our students undergone
training through our center and more
no.of candidates from other center also appeared
for the Exam from our center. |
